New genres were born based on the reinterpretation of different music that was coming from different countries such as Congo, Angola, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria and more. Cumbia, soukous, soca, salsa, champeta and a wide range of latin music styles started to develop. This mix takes a peak at Caribbean latin music born within this outburst of sounds.
