UK dance icon Jax Jones invites rising K-pop star Sooyeon into the studio for a deep dive on his latest album - featuring heavyweights like Rebecca Black, Kesha, and Kero Kero Bonito.

Beyond her operatic range and visceral piano work, American singer Diamanda Galás’ career is a study in defiance - channeling the horrors of the AIDS crisis, political injustice, and human suffering into performances that blur the lines between classical, avant-garde, and the demonic. From collaborations with John Paul Jones to transcendent solo works, her presence is singular, and her impact undeniable.

Post Punk Indie Rock

Founded in Christchurch, in 1981 by record store manager Roger Shepherd, Flying Nun Records championed dozens of weird and wonderful bands, birthed in the relative cultural isolation of '80s New Zealand. The label became famous for the "Dunedin sound", a style of indie rock named after the South NZ university town where many of the bands were formed. Guitars were jangly, and drenched in reverb.
