Focus on Bourbonese Qualk
Bourbonese Qualk stretched the boundaries of UK experimental music, building on the work of industrial music pioneers like Cabaret Voltaire & Throbbing Gristle. From their formation in 1980, well into the 2000s, the group married post-punk genre bending with fervent political activism, famously occupying a building in South London, transforming it into a febrile hub of anti-establishment musicians, writers & artists during the Thatcherite era.
