First emerging as an artist during the decline of punk, an era of expansive experimentation, Brenda Ray explored fusions of dub, synthpop, & new-wave, first as a member of Naffi Sandwich, and after alongside her fictitious bandmates The Beachballs. Always working far from the reach of the mainstream, her music has seen some heavy archival activity in recent years.
