Focus on LTJ Bukem
Arguably drum & bass's first superstar, LTJ Bukem spearheaded hardcore's stylistic transition in the early 1990s into technically impressive and rhythmically nimble jungle. His style - icy, deep and precise - reaches for influences from cosmic Detroit techno and cool mid-century jazz. The sound has been emulated endlessly, sparking entire subgenres within the drum & bass continuum.
DJ Persuasion and Dev/Null go in for two hours, playing some of LTJ Bukem's best productions, tracks he signed to his label, and tracks he was famous for playing on this In Focus.
