Based far from any London postcode, Peter Runge aka SD Laika quietly carved a brand new niche into instrumental grime music from his home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While sharing some DNA with his peers' music on labels like Tri-Angle and Lost Codes, Runge's music mostly followed it's own baffling rules, shaking grime to it's foundations. His impact on the mainstream was almost non-existant, but his influence on a new generation of daring electronic producers was deep.

In 2024, it was announced that Runge had passed away in late 2023.
