Helmed by mercurial auteur Dan Treacy, London band Television Personalities traversed a volatile, short-lived, and shapeshifting musical lifetime within a handful of years, which left only a slight commercial blip on the contemporary pop landscape.
The shadow of their influence, however, grows longer and longer. On top of their contribution to the UK's significant post-punk legacy, Treacy and the band were partly responsible for reviving a dormant interest in UK psychedelic music, with their album 'Mummy Your Not Watching Me'. Many C86-era bands from the 1990s cite them as inspirations, as well as currently active US bands like MGMT and Pavement.
Two hours of singular independent music from "part-time punks" and psych rockers Television Personalities.
