How haven't we done this one yet? Two hours of jazz, fusion and idiosyncratic pop from one of the 20th Century's most singular innovators, Herbie Hancock.
Ever since the beginning of his career, Herbie Hancock has been triumphantly resistant to the contemporary dogmas of jazz, continually altering musical trends as he goes. During his tenure playing in bands with Donald Byrd and Miles Davis, Hancock was a foundational figure in the birth of post-bop jazz sound. He soon moved onto fusing jazz with funk, and fearlessly experimented with early electronic instruments, synthesizers and even samplers.

L.A. Club Resource is a record label run by Delroy Edwards, Jimmy Mock and Henoch Moore. It's also a home to INNSYTER, Gene Hunt and other club rats, and a purveyor of slowed down funk, raw and rugged techno, and similarly scummy sounds. Listen back to their month-long residency with us.
