Labour w/ Mada Ba

This month’s show features the great living Senegalese singer, Mada Ba who began her career in the early 90s with the group Lemzo Diamono in Dakar and continued to work with many artists such as previous guest Pape Ndiaye Guewel, Omar Pene and the great sabar player, Thio Mbaye. Listen for such hits as Goreé and several tracks featuring Babacar Dieng and Mada Ba singing together from the 1997 release presented by Omar Pene et le Super Diamono. Finishing the show with two modern tracks indebted to the time of Mada Ba are Momo Dieng’s single 'Ndekete Yoo' from earlier this year and Eljaz’s 'Maan Rek' also from this year.
