The field recording was recorded on a quiet week in April during roadworks where my street's water pipes were dug up. Usually buried deep under our feet this disruption exposed the water flows that we are so dependent on for life. It underlines our ever closeness to the sounds of moving water in urban areas, even where we are isolated from the flows of the earth and the seasons.
“It’s the right evening for a tune, Snufkin thought. A new tune, one part expectation, two parts summer sadness, and for the rest, just the great delight of walking alone and liking it.”
