Rhythm Section Radio was founded in 2009 and moved to NTS in 2012, and has since pulled out the stops breaking new music, promoting independent labels and paying homage to the greatest music from the past, through a perhaps unhealthy obsession with record digging.

"Around 20 years ago there was a bit of a surge in popularity (at least on the underground) for these small CDr releases, often small in numbers - from around 10 copies up to maybe 100 or so … mini CDr releases were self released and quick to produce, especially for small labels .

Here's a selection of those from my collection; I felt i should make this now before these releases become damaged or degraded. Just now they still play, and here you can hear many of my favourites from that time. 2 hours of mostly 3" cdrs and self released CDr."
