Chicago House House

Few other labels can lay claim to such a foundational role in the origin myth of house music as Chicago's Trax Records.

Home to, and often introducing us to, artists like Frankie Knuckles, Joe Smooth, Armando, Phuture, Marshall Jefferson, Ron Hardy, Larry Heard and many more. Trax laid the sonic foundation of jacking rhythm tracks with a distinct disco feel. The formula remains much the same to this day.
