Apart from being a regular fixture at the city’s underground clubs and annual Nyege Nyege festival, she has also played at some of Europe’s biggest Festivals like Sonar and Roskilde among others.

The book charts a generation of famous, infamous and not so famous figures in black culture, including the most avant-garde jazz musicians, visual artists and poets to the most unassuming architects, philosophers and writers and how they re-invented Ivy and Prep fashion - the dominant looks of the time - and made them their own.
