Rennes: France's Rock Capital (80s-90s) w/ Ar Zenith

Berlin, 28.12.24

The Breton capital, Rennes la Rouge, whose punk beats in its veins, was the birthplace of a New Wave breakthrough with bands like Marquis de Sade, Ubik and Etienne Daho. Rennes was not only the birthplace of fooball wunderkinds like Camavinga, Dembele, Ugochukwu and Desire Doue, but also a vibrant underground music scene in the 80s and 90s: a laboratory for rock à la française, which would shape the future of rock in France.
