Meet the MCs and vocalists making vital and groundbreaking music with non-profit record label Jail Time Records. Birthed inside the walls of Douala's New Bell Prison, often labelled Cameroon's toughest prison, the single small recording studio was the first of its kind in Africa. The space offers currently and formerly incarcerated artists such as Lele Badman and JEJE a rare opportunity for creativity, bonding, and inspiration. The label is now working on opening more studios in prisons across Africa, as well as continuing to work with artists upon their release.
