I’m not based in the UK, can I still apply?

Yes, we are welcoming applications from any musician, anywhere in the world.

I don’t speak English, can I still apply?

You do not need to be able to speak English, and we are happy to use technology to support communication between us. But if you are selected you will be in regular contact with our team here who are largely English speakers.

I made an application to previous year’s NTS WIP. Can I apply again this year?

Yes, we welcome re-applications.

I am a musician but I am also in a band. Can I apply with both projects?

Yes, you will need to do two separate applications under your band’s name, and your own solo project.

I am a DJ. Can I apply to be part of NTS WIP?

This year we are not accepting applications from artists that are exclusively DJs.

I already have a show on NTS or have been a guest. Can I still apply?

Yes.

I have recently signed a contract with a manager/record label/publisher/agent. Can I still apply?

Yes, we welcome applications from musicians at any stage in their career. We will be particularly interested in what you feel WIP can do for you if you are already getting some support. But we are ready to work with you and your existing network to get you to that next stage.

I have never shared my music publicly before. Can I still apply?

Yes, you are welcome to share private links to your work with us.

I am under 18. Can I still apply?

Yes. We may need to speak to your parent/guardian if you get through to the final rounds, but there are no age limits.

Am I too old to apply to NTS WIP?

No, there are no age limits on our applications.

I don’t have an account with Submittable. Do I need to make an account to make my application?

Yes, we are only accepting applications made through the Submittable form

I have trouble completing forms and find it helpful to have a copy of the questions to work from. Can you provide this?

Yes, a reference copy of the questions is available. Please note we only accept applications through the Submittable form.

I have physical or invisible disabilities. Can you help me?

Yes, please email wip@ntslive.co.uk by Thursday 29th April and we will do what we can to help you.

I have run out of time. Can I have an extension?

No, the published deadline is fixed and late applications will not be considered

Is there a cost associated with applying to NTS WIP?

No, there are no fees for applying.

Will I be able to get feedback on my application?

Unfortunately due to the number of applications we receive we cannot offer feedback on unsuccessful applications.

When will I find out if I have been successful?

We will keep you updated on your application’s progress via email. We aim to interview shortlisted applicants in June 2021.
