75 Years of Folkways: Matmos

'This is an hourlong manipulation of sounds, noises and voices taken albums originally released by the Cook and Folkways record labels. We have made new electronic collages out of these records, stacking, slicing, filtering and transforming them into different shapes. The full list in order of every LP that appears over the hourlong piece, including the repetitions of some LPs, appears below. There are brief moments within this mix in which contributions from Evicshen and Aaron Dilloway appear. Our mix title is an excerpt of a track title from the Cook’s Tour of High Fidelity LP.
