Labour w/ Daro Mbaye

This month’s show features the great living Senegalese singer, Daro Mbaye. A frequent collaborator of previous feature El Hadji Faye, the first 30 minutes here feature a long play of most of her excellent 1996 album, “Daarou N’diar” followed by her hit “Jongoma Ye’ewul” then an ensemble led by El Hadji Faye before kicking up the energy and instrumentation with excellent tracks from her 1990 album “Doylu” including the most righteous musical change halfway through “Ndiabour” that could continue on forever… finally closing with two of the latest and hottest tracks from Dakar in March 2023: Aby Ndour’s Këf and Jeeba’s Aladji.
